2020-2021 NASCOE Annual Report Released

NASCOE’s By-Laws dictate the Secretary shall keep an accurate record of all transactions of the Association, including minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The By-Laws also state that the Secretary shall give an annual report to the Association.  NASCOE’s Executive Policies state the Secretary’s Report should contain information pertinent to the NASCOE year, including but not limited to: a list of Officers, Executive Committee, National Chairs, and Board of Directors; material and financial assets of the association; Negotiation Items; budget information; and Executive Committee minutes. Additionally any changes to NASCOE’s Constitution and By-Laws, the NASCOE Travel Policy, the Executive Committee Policies, or other major revisions of policies or procedure should be included. The Executive Policies also state that the Report is to be posted on the NASCOE website.  The 2020-2021 Annual Report has been compiled according to policy and formatted similarly to recent years.

The Convention Cash Club Contest is now Open!

May 18, 2021

The NASCOE Publicity Committee announces that the NASCOE Convention Cash Club Contest is now taking entries through June 15, 2021.

NASCOE members in good standing who have never attended a NASCOE National Convention are invited to enter the contest.  Applicants will submit a one-page essay of 500 words or less discussing the following topic:

“This year’s NASCOE convention theme is: Have a Ball in Indiana.  How is NASCOE like a baseball team and
what position do you play on that team?”
 


A maximum of five stipends of $500 each will be awarded.  One winner will be chosen from each NASCOE Area.  Winners must attend the 2021 NASCOE Convention in Fort Wayne, Indiana and be present for all general sessions and the awards banquet.  Failure to meet the attendance requirement will result in forfeiture of the stipend.

Convention Photos Now Available!

NASCOE implemented a new Convention Photo policy in 2018.  The photography from the 60th NASCOE Convention in Manhattan, Kansas is now available for download by attendees at no charge.  You may download a single image, or as many images as you would like.

A DVD containing all images from the convention may also be purchased for a small fee.  The DVD will contain all the same images from the gallery.  To order a DVD, please complete the order form and mail the $5.00 fee, which covers materials and shipping of the DVD.

The convention photography will be available for download until November 30, 2019.

NASCOE Convention Cash Club Contest Begins

The NASCOE Publicity Committee will award a $500 stipend to an eligible NASCOE member from each area to help defray the cost of attending the 60th Anniversary NASCOE convention in Manhattan, Kansas on July 31 through August 3, 2019. Applicants must submit a one-page essay of 500 words or less discussing the following topic:
 

“This year’s NASCOE convention theme is Denim and Diamonds. Please tell us how the theme applies to you and your involvement in NASCOE.”

NASCOE Shutdown Furlough Page Updated January 10, 2019

As noted in President Dennis Ray’s update of Friday, January 4, 2019, a Shutdown Furlough Information page has been created on the NASCOE website. The Furlough Information page will be updated throughout the shutdown as NASCOE leadership receives information.  The page is NOT intended to replace agency guidance, but will accumulate information received by NASCOE Leadership regarding the shutdown and furlough. The button can be accessed at www.nascoe.org.

Members are asked to refer any questions to their state association President, who will forward to NASCOE leadership through the Area Executives.
