NASCOE is proud to announce that we will be hosting our 61st Annual Convention via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27. Even though we won’t be in Georgia this year, we are excited to safely bring many of our traditional convention features to perhaps our biggest audience ever. Whether you’re a regular member, associate member, or potential member, we hope you join us to hear what NASCOE has been doing on your behalf.
What to See, and How to Watch it
The NASCOE Executive Committee has worked hard to ensure that this year’s convention still has many of our convention’s mainstays. While every portion of our traditional convention is important, many of our first time attendees tell us that the presentations from the NASCOE President and the Question and Answer period with FSA management are some of the most memorable.
While the pandemic has certainly presented some challenges, NASCOE has had significant accomplishments this year in everything from hosting a Leadership Conference to increased workload transparency. NASCOE President Wilson will be on hand to outline what NASCOE is doing for our members and all FSA employees. We will also hear from WDC leadership on topics important to employees and they will take questions directly from employees.
Additionally, we will have a second Q&A hosted by our Programs Committee that will allow WDC specialists to answer your more technical inquiries. For those who want to delve deeper into NASCOE business, we will have breakout meetings with individual NASCOE committees and areas.
Knowing how many FSA employees will be eager to participate, DAFO has agreed to allow attendees to join the NASCOE Convention using their government computers. Annual Leave will still need to be taken while attending the meetings, however DAFO has approved Administrative leave for some sessions. Please download the 2020 NASCOE Convention Agenda for the details of the convention and to view the DAFO Memo.
